  1. What can I do to better my picture quality?
    Im encoding from a DVD-Rip,
2000-2500kbps, 352X240 res, 2pass VBR,High quality motion precision, 44100 hz 128 bit sound, 2 Disc XVCD (about 800mb per disc)

I know I posted a similar post earlier, but the help provided was kinda conflicted by the Moderators. Please Help...Wulf109, I tried your idea, but TMPGEnc would not open the simple de-mux file...?!

  3. Try encoding at 352x480.

If your standalone DVD player can handle this resolution (some can and some can not) you may be amazed at how nice the end results can look!

If you have the bit rate, try making the file bigger -- 480x480 or 544x480. Both look very nice.

    Good luck!
