I used VCDEasy (most up to date version) and made my vcd. It dumped a vxml(sp), bin and cue file on my desktop. How would I make another vcd using those files say, a week from now? How do I configure VCDEasy to "see" these files and burn the same vcd again?

Go under Tools and click on CDRDAO and there's a section to burn BIN/CUE files. Also one for XML...
Very simple!Big_Jit -
True, very simple. But what I ultimately want to do is erase the original movie files, then just use the xml, bin and cue files. So, I will need to keep all 3 files? Just want to make sure before I erase everything...

It's safe to delete everything except the .bin and .cue files. The .bin is the image of the disc, and the .cue is merely the pointer to it which contains the instructions (for the cd program) to burn it.

Just to add on - keep the xml file also as it will contain your playback control configuration...

Actually, VCDEasy generates the xml and THEN builds the bin from that xml. The bin file already contains playback info, therefore the xml is not needed once the bin is built (unless you want to modify playback information, but then you need the source mpg's).

is there any reason that VCDeasy won't recognise my writer.
It just writes the image to my desktop?
Any ideas

Go Under Settings on the left and under the VCDEasy tab there will be a checkbox that says Enable CDRDAO integration. Make sure that there's a check in that box. I think you have to restart VCDEasy after this. Then Go back to (S)VCD under the Main Page and Select CD Writer and put a check in the box that says burn and uncheck the box that says simulate You should be good to go...
Hope this helps!...Big_Jit -
Keeping the XML file of all your projects is a pretty good idea. You can use VCDXRIP to recreate the XML file from the BIN file but it is generally less readable then the one you make yourself (though this isn't entirely true of XML files created by automation like VCDEasy).
If you want to keep your VCD on HDD, all you need is the CUE/BIN image. You can recreate everything from that (including XML file and source files).
