    hi all,ive got 2 vcd's which play on my mustek dvd player.It says they are vcd1.1,however they will not play on my pc and tmpeg and vdub cant convert them.I just whanna know what this 1.1 thing is and get them to play on my pc.

    I bet if you click that "what is VCD" link on the upper left and look around there, you will find some of what you seek.

    One option would be converting the DAT file to mpg ("how to - convert"), then re-encoding the mpg as a VCD 2.0 compliant (1150/224) mpg with tmpgenc or a similar app, then burning a new VCD with Nero (or a similar app).
