I may be wishing to do the opposite of what most of you here do, but believe you may be able to help me!

I recieve DAB-radio (Digita Audio Broadcast) in MP2, better than CD quality (256KB/s), which can be saved to disk as an xyz.MP2 file.

I wish to burn CD's which i can play in my DVD-player, and of cause have a desire to keep the best possible quality, and therefore do not like to convert data to .wav format or MP3, as i understand i get loss of quality.

I have been informed, that a DVD player should be able to play MP2 audio files, as it is the sound format used on a DVD, but when played from a CD, it may help to rename it to .MP3, as the DVD-player seems to accept this file format, and happily decodes the MP2 data.

However i do not suceed: I burn an XYZ.MP2 file renamed to XYZ.MP3 in the root of a data CD, but my Marantz will not play it...It recognise an MP3 file on the disk, but nothing more happens.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
