Sometimes when I play a VCD it will at times speed up at random times. Is this a TMPGenc problem. Or is this due to my daewoo 5000n
Anyone else get this random problem on VCD?. I tried different medias, but it does not make a difference.
the rapid speed occurs just for a few seconds then plays normal. when a repeat the same area it will not repeat.
Using TmpGenc, Vitual Dub, and Nero. very strange?

I had a similar problem with that where my videos would go into slowmo for a few secs and back to normal and I've also had the fast thing happen to me and I found out that it only happened with film vcd's and what I had to do was telecine the 23.976fps film to 29.97fps. This is very easily done in TMPGEnc.
for MPEG-1 use:
output fps=23.976 3:2 pulldown (on advanced tab)
for MPEG-2 use
output fps=23.976fps (internally 29.97fps)
3:2 pulldown when playback
Hope this helps!
P.S. this never happened with PAL discsBig_Jit -
ok, thanks. however, the 23.96 (internally) to 29.96 with 3:2 pulldown did not work. I am trying to have it set at 29.96 to see what happens. TMPEng defaults to your specs you listed.
You right...not noticed on Pal stuff. I thought I was going to throw out my daewoo....but it must be the software.
