  1. I just got the new Dell 8200 with cdrom and dvdrom/cdr combo drive so Nero doesn't support my drive for some freakin reason, so I'm left with using the Platinum version of the EasyCD creator with the xp upgrades. Everytime I open a .mpg file to burn, the program Crashes...What is the problem and how can I fix it? I tried using vcdeasy but I also need the drivers for it. My drive is a Samsung cdr/dvd SM 332b. Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!

  2. I have used roxio in the past and had a similar problem everynow and then, if I tried burning an mpeg that never got the big green tick saying that all was ok. If this is the case, try using video impression (NEW -- GET -- PLAY -- and then save as MPEG -VCD PAL blah blah or whatever format you want. Roxia then recognises this file and burns to CD.

Is that mpeg a fully compliant mpeg ?, maybe its crashing when it should be telling you what the problem is with the mpeg?

I had similar problems with Roxio...it wouldn't crash, it would burn and say it was successful, but not one of the (S)VCDs I burned with it worked
then I got Nero and VCDeasy and daemontools...
    no problems now
