I am trying the Roxio Media C 9 using auto edit with cinemagic. I load all the pictures and videos and put them all where they need to be. When I do the preview after all is done, it looks great and seems ready to move on. I say put to DVD and it takes me over to VideoWave. I really didn't need to edit anything but it takes me there anyway and I have to do some editing which I would prefer not doing because it was already perfect. After that being done I go to burn and when I watch the rendering I can see the video part looking terrible but the photos looking great. When I burn, what I saw was what I got. Great photos, bad videos. It looks cool and the DVD would be great except for the crazy video. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I just started using this and am learning but can't seem to figure it out.

The video is converted to dvd and it may reduce the quality depending what settings you are using and how many minutes/dvd.

Could you explain how the video looks like??? very pixelated? low resolution?
How many minutes video are you storing on one dvd?
Have you seen any dvd converting settings? like video bitrate, resolution/frame size?
    What is your video source?

The video is only 10 minutes long because it is a slideshow so I am getting high quality settings. The photos as I said were perfect but the videos had splashes of color here and there and looked washed out in other areas. Very hard on the eyes and not even considered fair quality. It is just down right terrible. I would not consider it low resolution just something isn't getting the colors right. Really hard to explain what it looks like. It is cinemagic from Roxio where I start. It is an easy program because it does all the work for you. It then takes me to videowave where it does more to it which I don't need. My video source is my camera which is of excellent quality and uses a sd card. They are short little videos that add to the photo slideshow. They are in AVI format as far as I can tell. Sorry I can't give you any more about the picture but I don't know for sure what to say. Thanks for responding though.

Post a screenshot from the converted dvd. You can use Media Player Classic, open the DVD and File->Save Image. Submit the image when you reply in this topic (under the Upload image/file tab).

You could also try another slideshow creator, Photodex Proshow!!!

That didn't look that good....something is wrong with videowave mpeg converter. Does it happen with other avi video files also?

Yes, Photodex Proshow supports video along with photos.

Which one do you use. The standard or deluxe or the pro version?

I downloaded the producer version and was wondering if there was a way you could put in the video and photos and it will arrange it for you like cinemagic does in Roxio. By the way I finally got it to work. I went into the rendering and took it off hardware and put it to software and it works great. I learned something today.
