Capturing with SB Extigy

I was recently considering purchasing a SB Live Extigy to install on my PC that I use for VCD captures. What I was wondering was if 1) Because of its USB hookup, if I would have any problems with audio/video sync. or 2)If anyone has a SB Live Extigy that they capture with, if they have any problems, and if they use classic USB or USB 2.0. I'm worried that because of the much slower usb, it will lag behind the video coming in off the PCI bus. I figure that USB 2.0 wouln't have that problem, but then there is the matter of CPU usage for the USB bus. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i am using a ADS USB Instant DVD with a Creative SoundBlaster Extigy

i have them both connected directly to seperate USB ports on the computer (no hub!), and capturing works fine. no sync issues.

(disregarding the headache of setting up the AUID with its known sync issues. but they are now resolved)
