Usually when encoding, I am either asleep or at work. But sometimes it would be nice to have a pause on tmpgenc. Or am i missing something? Xing has a very nice pause button (but then again, it is not free). Well, I am quite happy with tmp, please, no one get me wrong! Just wanting to see if I somehow overlooked something! Thanks

As far as I'm aware you can't pause encoding with TMPGEnc.

hit help_about. It will pause until you close the dialog. Or hit stop encoding but don't hit OK. It will pause until you hit cancel.
Hope this helps -
You also might try setting the task priority to low. This way Tmpgenc will only work on the encode when the processor is free, thus not taking any significant CPU time away from your other activities. This allows you to work on other stuff and still squeeze in a few frames. Not a pause but it's what I do.

Agree with pethead on this one..setting the task priority to "idle time only" gives you the ability to have tmpgenc running all day while still doing more useful stuff..like surfing the web and downloading
