DiVX to VCD problems.

I followed DivX to VCD All-in-one guide (http://www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm) completely. After the conversion I split the movie up (didn't do it the first time around). I played the VCD and it played fine on my PC. I used NERO to burn a Video-CD and burned it off. I put it in my DVD player (Samsung DVD-M101, player itself says it plays Video-CDs on the box) and it said it couldn't load the CD. I looked in the DVD list on this site and it wasn't listed. Now, the real point, the guide said to use VCDEasy to burn it. I didn't use it cause when I checked CDRDAO it gave me ASPI errors and I didn't wanna deal with it so i went with Nero. Will Nero burn a VCD properly? Any ideas on what could've gone wrong?

Well, it appears that my DVD player was added recently to the list. One of the reviews said to try burning at 1x and that that fixed the problem for him. I went into Nero and the lowest it'll let me burn is 8x.
