I am the ultimate end user. I do not know anything so rely on people such as yourselves for advice. So Here goes: I have been trying for some time to be able to convert rm/ram clips to something I can edit. I took the advice of your page and downloaded EO Video v1.214 and Tinra v.005 and tinragui vl.4. I followed the reviewer's instructions. First I tried EO Video. After several unsuccesful tries I was able to convert an rm file to mpg, and like the reviewer stated, it took a very long time. When I tried to play the clip, the quality was good, but it played upside down, like emile reported on 7-14-02. I tried the clip on several players with the same results. Sent off an email to EO Video, to date no reply. Next tried Tinra and was able to get audio but no video. I have spent several days at this, always with the same results. The reason I am trying to convert these files is because I am unable to find an editing program for rm/ram files. Video Framer was recommended by Real, but it does not seem to support rm/ram files as it cannot find them on my computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. As I am not technical by nature or training, any advice and/or suggestions should be as simple as possible.
