I have no idea what acm means exactly so if anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.
I am trying to convert an AVI video file to Mpeg so that I can burn it to VCD but am having a problem. I am able to play the file in Windows Media player but cannot open it in VirtualDub (unrecognized file type).
TMPEnc will open the file but when I try to start the conversion it it gives me this acm message and won't do anything. Checking the file information using Windows Media, I am told that the Audio Codec is Morgan Stream Switcher. I am thinking that this is the problem---when i view the audio in TMPGEnc it shows the audio in strange blocks instead of the usual wavy pattern.
Is there a way to convert this file?
