  1. Hello there
It's my first foray into the world of VCD's and I'm having problems.
Using Sefy's Ultimate Newbie DVD Conversion Guide v2.0, I've just used the DVD2AVI to create my wav file. The file has been created but does not have the typical wav file icon, and when I go to the next stage of the process using the TMPGEnc - Wizard, it cannot find the file (?)
    Any ideas?......please!

  2. Are you sure it created a WAV file ? in some DVD's it might create an MPG file, I suggest you find an Audio Track that is AC3, then it will surely create the appropriate file from it.

Did you have audio>Dolby Digital> *decode* ticked? Sounds like you might have had *demux* ticked.

You need to view file extensions

Double click Drive C to open a Window.

View > Folder options > View > Show all
Also remove check in "Hide file extensions for known file types"

Once you can see the file extensions, you will see the type of file it has made.

TMPGEnc will open other file type extensions, click browse and change the drop down arrow to "All" this will show all files on your hard drive (Including files it does not support)

And then he'll probably realise he has demuxed rather than decoded. A lack of a further response strongly suggests it. 8)
