  1. well my goal is to burn a dvd in this case for instruction purposes will be Roadtrip.. (iwas able to rip the entire dvd prior but was unable to get the video to play on the cd-r so i am going to start over with everyones help.. )

so.. i ripped the dvd with SmartRipper ver 2.41 and these are the files i got:

    vts_01_0
    vts_01_1.vob
    vts_01_2.vob
    vts_01_3.vob
    vts_01_4.vob
    vts_01_5.vob
    vts_01_6.vob
    vts_01_1.idx
    vts_01_1.lst
    vts_01_1.d2v

now if i use flaskmpeg the only files that are loaded or used or changed are #1-#6.vob ...

so can we start from these files and tell me what is the next step... i have all the other programs to do the work just type in exactly what i need to do, what boxes need to be checked. .. etc... i have searched and tried the help files and stayed up until 5am last night doing everything here on vcdhelp.. also here is my dvd player information that may help.. thanks for the help..

I have never used flaskmpeg, so can't help you there. Why don't you use DVD2AVI, then use tmpgenc to convert to mpg file. Sefy's guide for newbies is a great place to start reading.
