  1. I test encoding AVI (6 min,352x576,25 fps,YUY2,PicVideo MJPEG Q19) to PAL MPEG1/VCD format. I use LSX Premiere plugin 2.0 it took 15 min, LSX standalone 3.5 = 19 min, TMPGENC 2.56 = 12 min, Honestech 3.0 = 25 min,Darim DVMPEG 5.1 = 30 min. My PC's spec is Celeron 850,128 ram. All in default setting, just use VCD PAL template, without tweaking the config. From what I see from many posting in this forum, isn't TMPGENC a slow encoder ? Or perhaps TMPGENC performs better in downsizing resolution? Thanks.

Somewhere on the guides/information on this site there is a comparisation of a few encoders. A part of the movie has been encoded with different encoders, and a.o. the encoding time and quality of the movie were tested.

I just can't remember exactly wher to find it
