  1. Previously I was getting a .mpa audio file, now I am getting a .ac3 file. I can't remember what settings I need to get a .mpa file for audio. Is this a DVD2AVI setting? I was playing around with it but couldn't get the settings back. Or is it a SmartRipper setting? DVDit! keeps dying (kernel32.dll error) when I try to associate an .ac3 file with a .m2v file. It much prefers .mpa.

    Please help!

If there is any MPEG audio track on the dvd, just select in DVD2AVI demux MPEG audio. If there are AC3 tracks only, you have to convert it to .mpa.

  3. Yes I was trying the demux option on DVD2AVI but not getting an mpa file. I downloaded BeSweet and will check it out as well. Thanks!

Rempeg does a good job of creating an mpa from an ac3.
It's not too quick but I've had no problems with it.

    Cheers ....
