  1. Hello guys,
    Well, the struggle goes on.
After many weeks happily capturing high resolution video with ATI AIW Radeon I had to change the HD and reinstall everything. And so the difficulties begins... Well, I can capture high res video with no frames dropped, BUT after installing MMC 7.6 and MMC 7.7 upgrad on top of it, whenever I load the TV application it comes on with a buzzing sound that disappears after a few seconds. Then whenever I open a menu (setup, for instance), I can hear a hissing sound. Worse of all: when I start the capture there is a buzzing like rhythmed sound over the audio. HELP!!!
What could it be now? I've downloaded all the new stuff from ATI's site and installed everything in the order they recommend.
And maybge one hint: when I run the PC check utility, it reports that the capture driver is not listed in registry (?!). How? I have installed it for sure... And it IS the right stuff, or so I think based on what it says on the installation guide.
    Someone, please, help?
    Marcos.

  2. I had (=have) the same problem when capturing. It helped me when I tried to select a different sound source. Actually it is the same source but only the refreshing of it seemed to do the trick. I still hear a distant buzz in the background, but if I tune line-in switches, it goes a way.

  3. At least I'm not alone! Well, but I guess we shouldn't be havig these problems since everything ran perfectly smoothly with MMC 7.5. Maybe it's an IRC problem. I've tried to change IRQs from Windows but it does not allow me to do it. So I'll have to figure out how to do it directly on the machine setup. Audio card is using the same IRC as video controlar, I think. Maybe this is the problem.
    Greetings.
    Marcos.
