  1. I am Sooooo Bloody Angry right now!
I have Virtual Dub with divx mpeg-4 video codec .... Everything WAS working...i finally got the audio and the video working together after alot of trial and error, And i successfully recorded some video on it. (I also was closing and reloading the program with no problem of it affecting the settings pretty much)

BUT...... I rebooted my computer (because i noticed it started dropping frames a little bit) ... and i loaded virtual dub up again, NOW i keep getting errors:

Virtual Dub capture error: "make sure your capture card is functioning correctly and that a valid video source is connected. You might also try turning off overlay, reducing the image size, or reducing the image depth to 24 or 16-bit"

NONE of the settings are working now, and I don't know what is different this time compared to when i had it running before i rebooted

Anyone with some Input or website turorials on the settings for this ?

  2. I can't explain to you what happened but i can tell you I have had the same sort of problems. But I did get round this by using as many different versions of V-Dub as i can find to download. I Use 6 Different versions.

    Hope this helps

  3. I donīt know if what i will say here will work on your PC but i had the same problem, but not in VD but in MMC7.1. I had to remove all components from my capture card in Device Mananger and reinstall all drivers again. Now itīs working well.

  4. Did you remember to initialize your capture card before opening vdub? vdub doesn't automatically initialize the capture card so you need to do that manually eacht time you boot (but only once before you open vdub). I forget to do this all the time and have to reboot to get everything working. I hope this helps.
