svcd to vcd off disc

hi i have scooby doo on svcd but does not play on dvd player.just looking on the left and shows how to trick the player to play it.not much converting involved this way.can this procedier be done from a disc rather than from the hard drive?if so when selecting mpeg 1 from source do i select mpeg 2/avseq01? thanks ian

Can u go through the proceedure with me cuz i also have scooby on SVCD and want to convert it to VCD without all th hard work. Could not quite understand the tutorial did not explain it enough please help thanks.
