Problems with Philips DVD951

Hi,
I record DVD with Philips DVD+RW 208 and play back with Philips DVD 951 player.
When playing the DVD on my DVD951 player I get about 2 to 6 artifacts per hour video :
- pauses in the middle of a scene
- some frames full of blocks (looks like mozaic transition)

I tried different programs: MyDVD, Tmpgenc, Movie Factory, Nero, at different bitrates 8000- 8500 -9000 - 9500 (CBR and VBR). When playing the DVD on my computer everthing is fine. Is this a problem with the DVD951 player???

Sounds like there is a problem with the player, did you make a fully compliant VCD using TMPGEnc and loading a VCD template.

Loading a template for PAL or NTSC VCD insures the specifications are correct for the mpeg file. Change any of those specifications like bit rate, and you might have problems with a DVD player.
