Philips dvdr3360h problems

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had a Philips dvdr3360h dvd recorder for abou a year now, region o so it plays all dvds, it also has a DIVX player on it which used to play all my episodes of stargate etc burned onto a data disc (nero data disc burn). Until yesterday when every disc i put into the machine states either:

Not Supported Disc Type

or

DVD+R Empty Disc

Has anyone else had this probelm or knows how to fix it.

Sounds like a hardware failure. About all that you can do, is to try cleaning it.
