    I have read many posts, and am not 100% sure of the answer to my question, so I will ask it here...

    Is it possible to encode a Divx movie Using ac3 for the audio - so when you play it (with the right equipment) you get all 5 chanels seperated? - ie DD type surround sound?

    The answer is yes. That s one of the main advantages of DIVX actually.
