  1. I have some dvd rips that are encoded and burned (nero) to svcd. When I extract the .mpg file off the cd to hdd, and try and load the file into Ulead Movie Factory, it says it's not a compliant .mpg? The original rips were encoded to .mpg using TMPGEnc with audio sampling at 48,000 and resolution is 720 x 480. Any ideas why Ulead rejects it?

  2. You need to get rid of the RIFF Headers because the mpg2 once created as an svcd are .dat files. You need to get the mpg2 back to true/raw form.

It's easy to solve your problem. Either use dvd2svcd "tools" section to do it or just use ISOBuster from the start to extract the mpg2 right off of your svcd and the resulting copied/extracted file will be the raw mpg2. Then Ulead will absolutely accept it.
