  1. I have tried many times to convert divx to vcd and I select the lowest settings but my computer is too slow (p3 500mgz). It starts off good but after a while my computer slows down and towards the end of the movie it wont buffer the frames good enough. Is there a way to ensure perfect quailty with TMPeg or any other program? Please reply.

  2. I use a4oomhz and have no problems with quality the only thing is it takes a whil to convert a movie

You should only have problems with speed and not quality as well

It could be the fps of the file is low

    Hope this helps

I used to get excellent results with DivX to VCD (using TMPGEnc), provided the source material was good. That was with a K6-2 400! Admittedly it took the best part of 24 hours, but the results were fine. 8)
