  1. I never had any issues before when using Virtualdub, but that was on 98. I now run XP, and certain avi's that I have will not display. Is this something with the divx codecs? I saw it mentioned to get version 5.01 as I believe I have 5.0. Could this be the culprit?

  2. yeh sure.
try on this site in 'tools' for divx codecs.
and download the new divx 5.0.2 codec from www.divx.com
try to install divx 3.11 and 4 and 5 again if it's doesn't work.
