  1. Hello.
I have been having this problem for the longest time and the only way I have dealt with it until now was to reduce the bitrate in order to reduce filesizes.

I use TMPGEnc's wizard to create SVCD's that supposedly would fit on an 80min CD. However, whenever I try burning them on Nero: a) The filesize ends up too big b) I get a message that the file is not SVCD compliant. What I would end up having to do is reduce the bit rate and turn off the compliance.

I decided today to read up some more on the issue, and decided to do a simple multiplex on TMPGEnc. This seems to work. The length bar on the bottom of Nero no longer exceeds 80 minutes. (I will follow up if the burn fails).

My question then is why must I always have to multiplex the files that I encode to SVCD on TMPGEnc each time I want to burn it to Nero? Am I missing something that is not mentioned on the SVCD guide on this board or are there additional steps on TMPGEnc that I should follow?

    Thanks.

  2. I tried out the SVCD and noticed that the sound is out of synch. I question whether it is due to the multiplexing? If not, what could the cause be?

  3. Well I figured out what the problem was...when you merge and cut, you need to select SVCD in the drop-down menu, otherwise, it defaults to MPEG-1.

    Thanks for those that replied.
