  1. Hi there I'm new to VCD and I have received a few vcds.
The problem I'm having is how do i burn copies of these VCDs for other people. I'm using an imac 266 with OS 8.6 and I'm using Toast 4.0.
I tried dragging all the folders on the cds to the data and folders section of the toast program but couln't write the cd.Is there another way of doing this because I thought it was like burning data filesand folder.
can someone please help me out.

Vcd cd's are not Data cd's. They are specially burned. Cd-Copy option will to it though. Or you could try making a disk image of the vcd then burning that throught toast...that is if you only have 1 cd drive and can't use copy.

  3. I tried making a direct copy of the disc but I get a message that says "Toast cannot burn a disc with multi tracks. What should I do.

  5. hi, i do it this way:

    open the vcd (not playing)
    open the map mpegav
in the map mpegav is a .dat-file (this is the movie)
copy the dat-file to your hd
then open nero (the burner i use) and choose for making a vcd
    drag the dat-file in nero
nero makes then a new vcd-compilation and you can burn your vcd

  7. The reason why is because VCDs use the UDF File system or something
like that. If there is an option to burn with UDF in Toast, use it and you
should be able to just copy the folders onto the disc!

    Enjoy.

P.S. I've been a PC guy, but with video there's no comparison to Macs, MOVIEGEEK
