Newbie Question: Which players are easy to hack?

Hi,
I wanted to get a new player to play svcd's and vcds macro/region free. I've tried searching for easy hacks and read a lot of the material about hacking. I even tried opening my friend's apex 600 up and followed the directions for the hack on the dvd-wizards page. That just messed me up more since I have no clue on how to solder in new chips. I need something easy that only requires punching in codes or updating firmware with a cdr. I've looked through the players and can't seem to find a good list. Help please.

The Easiest DVD Player to hack into would have to be the APEX AD-3201.
K-Mart would be the place to get 'em. They Cost around $100-$120. They Play DVD,CD,VCD,SVCD,MP3,HDCD,CD-R. But the most important part, Its hackable. Kinda like entering a cheat code for a console video game.

I have a Haus H-615 LS which is very easy to hack, you can set the region via the remote control to make it all region or a specific region - this means it will play RCE protected disks. Also a new hack I have just found out allows you to turn off macrovision protection.

This player is superb, it plays anything you throw at it (DVD / SVCD / VCD / CD / MP3 / CD-R / CD-RW) and it has Dolby 5.1 outputs! It is also very reasonable (£129). You can get it from jungle.com (in the UK) or worldwide it is branded Zenix.

It is worth going to Jungle to check out the reviews.

Hi

I have a Naiko 2001B DVD player.... It plays everything! and is dead easy to crack from the remote control.

1) Go to the main screen when you first press power.

2) Press SETUP

3) Press STOP

4) Press skip back, |<<

5) Press skip forward, >>|

6) select BYPASS for all regions.

7) You can turn off Macrovision here too!

And if you are in the UK the player is only £90 from co-op, can be found other places too...

i just got the naiko 2001b from the co-op

you say it plays everything? have you had any luck with home made vcd, if so what software do you use to burn them? i just get a disc error message when i put in any vcd burned with nero 5.5

and i cant get macrovision off. the only options on the factory menu are:

VERSION
REGION ID - 1-8 / BYPASS
AUTOMUTE - ON/OFF
DITHER - ON/OFF


any help greatly appreciated
