DIVX3 on Danelec so easy hdmi ***** newbie question

I have a So Easy mediaplayer from danelec who can play AVI, MPG, MPEG1/2/4, XVID,VOB
my movies in DIVX3 are not playable and also films in XVID iso MPEG 4

should i use a conversion program ? and what is the best and easiest to use

You can try avirecomp.

Sometimes when players like this are fussy you can get away with just changing the FourCC code with something like AVI FourCC Code Changer. I can't promise that changing the FourCC code alone will do the trick, but it's worth a shot as it's much simpler and quicker than re-encoding.
