I understand the if I want the be able to forward or rewind on a DVD player that I need to add scandata.dat into the EXT directory. I have tried this with Nero and it worked fine.
I what to use VCDEASY (chapter etc) but when I tried to drag the file into the EXT directory it said that it was a protected directory and I could not add it. IS there anyother way of doing this.
Also I have a TEAC 524E CDR/W drive, but VCDEASY will not see it. I have added the ASPI(??) but it still will not work. I have to create images and then use NERO to burn the CD and it takes a long time and a lot of messing.
Can anybdoy help me?

The good news is that if you use VCDEasy, you do not have to worry about the SCANDATA.dat file, VCDEasy actually generates a correct one. Just let VCDEasy add the file it generates and you will have FF/REW plus (at least for me) it allowed me to jump to specific times in the video (which the Nero trick did not allow).
