I am converting .rm to .avi or .mpeg2 using Allok rm to avi converter. And I have a Divx player where I can play .avi or .mpeg file from USB stick. And that player has a remote control.
It is playing movie good but I am not able to forward and rewind the movie. Any idea on how to get these features??
Thanks.

Don't start with RMVB as source. Use a decent Xvid/Divx encoder. The only reason these features aren't working is because you encoder isn't encoding correctly. If this is the only thing you can get to encode RMVB to avi then you either have to live with it, or get better source.

Personally, I would start looking for a better encoder.Read my blog here.

So I have source file in .rm and I should use Divx encoder to convert?

Do you sugest any encoder here??

AutoGK would be top of my list, but I don't know if it will read .rm files.

Next on the list would be Dr Divx, and after that, perhaps MediaCoderRead my blog here.
