I just downloaded the lord of the rings 4 disc version and when extracted it comes out as bin/cue. I tried using vcdgear to convert it to mpeg but it said it could not find an mpeg stream so I decided to just burn the cue/bin knowing that my dvd player plays vcd's. Well when it plays in the dvd player it starts skipping every 2-3 seconds and the audio will only work if i play it at fast forward. The if I hit normal play I will get good video but no sound. It seems as though I have a choice of either good sound or good video. How do I correct this so that I can play them right??? I have even tried burning at slower speeds.

You could use an ISO buster, and extract the Mpeg data file to your hard drive, then you can take a look at the mpeg to see if it ok, that Mpeg data file can then be used to make a VCD in the normal way.
