Nort knowing where to post this....
If I record on a machine with an ATI card with YV12 compression, and then convert to SVCD it's a very good pix.
If I record to RAW RGB, 24bit, the playback of the avi file is perfect, but any attempt to convert, leaves me with a color moire problem, (gonna try to explain) as in a fellow wearing a brown coat, instead of the entire coat being brown, the center of the coat is a light brown and as you progress to the outer portion of the coat it gets progressively darker.
The avi is MUCH cleaner and sharper with 24 bit RGB, then YV12, but no matter what I try, converting is, let's say, not a good thing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
