svcds audio out of sync bbmpeg settings?

hey,
after cutting my svcd with dvtool,
i burn the file and it is way out of sync in my standalone player. when i hit slo-mo then play again it syncs up for a second or two then goes back out again.
so i demux with tmpgenc and remux with bbmpeg using the standard svcd template....same problem.
the video is a bit choppy and the video is out of synch.
what are the best delay settings to use in bbmpeg, and where should i enter them.
