i have a phillip dvd rw 208, and cheap dvd r media named princo, and spruceup software. can somebody tell me what is wrong with my process:
first: i use smart ripper and go to the stream setting to rip the movie part (m2v extension), and audio part (ac3 extension). i followed the instruction on the top of this page at the part which shows how to create a dvd wiht a larger capacity to dvdr 4.7 gb.
second: i use the dvd authoring software which is spruceup full version to import the file. i know that the audio part (.ac3) would be imported automatically after the video part is imported with one condition is that the name of those files need to be the same.
third: i tried to export it to the DVD+RW disk which came with the Phillip Dvd burner. it still is not working even though i changed the preferences to DVD+RW 4.7 GB. It gives me a different message at this time which is something about writing error or application error at the line (..... wiht a whole bunch of number in the bracket) and then that is it.
i just wonder if anybody know why and i am using Windows XP
Thank you very much.

I have the Pioneer 104 burner (A04 OEM), Spruce will not write directly to that either under Windows2000, gives an error every time. Try writing the DVD to an image file, then use something like Prassi PrimoDVD to burn it.

I use Spruceup and when I compile a DVD, I save it as a TITLE SET, then burn it to DVD-R using the NERO DVD-Video template. This has never given me a problem.
