??? why would you want to hook up to your TV???

If the capture card you have has a TV tuner then all you will require is an "antenna" input - from either your sat.receiver ,vcr, or cable box (outlet).
If NO tuner then hook to your VCR or sat.receiver and select channels from there.
Coax cable should do the job

First decide on the type of cable you want to use.

Most capture cards have RF (TV Tuner), SVideo and Composite inputs. RF is the worst quality signal but loses the least during a long cable run. SVideo and Composite can both provide a good picture but it will degrade with distance and you will have to run the audio separately.

I use RF runs in my house as the signal can carry a number of different channels. This means I can watch one channel downstairs whilst capturing another channel upstairs.

You can make any of these cables yourself or ask an electronics shop to knock one up for you.

  5. chrissatchell,
It sounds like you are trying to build a video network of something. Like playing a DVD downstairs but being able to watch it on, say, channel 90 in your bedroom. Is this what your attempting?
