some help with newer svcds

hi help would be appreciated with a problem i have with some of the more recent svcd releases.

ie vanilla sky 3cds, star wars episode 2 3cds

i normally watch movies using windows media player and have not previously had any problems playing other vcd, svcd, avi, divx etc

i have the latest codecs, divx 5

my problem is with some of the more recent films i try to play the avseq01 file and windows player just hangs with the message opening media.

i have burned discs again at slow speed and am confident it is not a bad burn (it happens on all 6 cds) they are read as a video cds but don't seem to play

any help would be greatly appreciated

if it is svcd ALWAYS use windvd or powerdvd.

You need a mpeg2 codec

WMP dont have that as default, try installing
nimo codec pack and you should be set.

will try the codec as i prefer wmp
