Do I have to buy a new dvd player? MY SVCD'S STOP!

I have an xwave dvd player I was under the impression it was pretty good. I read the box said vcd mp3 extc didnt say svcd read the manaual said it played mpeg2 so I tried it and sure enought it worked I started playing svcd's Untill recently I was very happy with my dvd player but then I got a movie where you had to slectet the folder and then click on the video file to play it and for some reason every time I do that the video doesnt play all the way it stops and just says done when that file wasnt complete.(with every disk that I have to go to the menu this happens) So I cant even finish watching the disc becuase it stop before it relly is over. Can I do anything about this or do I have to spend money on another dvd player.

If the box doesn't mention svcd then it probably can't play them.Take
it back and get a Apex.

yea i have the same prob w/ my daewoo dvg4000s. i have to go into the folder and open it and it plays almost all the way...cuts off the last few min. i plan on returning this and possibly gettin a apex
