  1. When I am burning a file from my HD to VCD everything works great encoding works and burning process is always sucessful but when i put it in my DVD/VCD player the movie is clear and fuzzy on and off throughout the whole movie. The quality is great when it is clear but it gets fuzzy for like 1 second on and off. My DVD/VCD player is a JVC XC-s65 and my burner is PlexWriter 12/10/32.

I always burn at 12x i heard that it was bad to burn so fast is this the case? can soemone tell me how i can make it so my VCD's don't have this fuzzyness that flashes on and off.

Here is a good place to begin. Try burning it at a lower speed. If that doesn't work, the problem might be with the source. Try watching it in Windows Media Player. It will be more difficult to notice changes in sharpness if you watch it on a computer but its worth a shot.

  3. to verify if its your player or not, you can take your funky vcd to a retailer and ask them which is their top of the line DVD player that plays VCDs... just say you got a test VCD that will not work well with cheaper players.

This way you know if its the player or the file.
