    Hi,

can't find the topic I posted yesterday, so will do again:

I'm really new to VCD & format converting, and have a problem with MOV to MPG with TMPGEnc (QTReader.vfp in TMPGEnc DIR): when I use the MOV file as input for both video & sound, the resulting MPG file has no sound.

I tried by using a WAV file as music input, it works.

So am I doing something wrong ? (I followed the VCDhelp guide, but maybe I should first extract the audio from my MOV file ???).

I searched several pages in this Newbie forum, found nothing.

    Any help welcome,

  2. Probably the reason u have no sound is because u are trying to take the sound from the mpeg or avi that you are taking the video from. My understanding of this is that you are meant to use virtual dub to first of all extract the audio and save it as a wave file. It tells you how to do this in one of the tutorials (newbie beginners guide to copying vcd from divx or something like that) then when u open up tmpgenc for video you select the film you want and for audio you select the wave file that you just ripped from the film. Hope this helps
