  1. damn got some more probs over here.....
ok i got nero 5.5.8.2 got it after getting the serial and now its nero not nero express....

well im using tmpgenc to convert to mpeg1... but for some reason alot of my buttons are greyed out ... and i cant access some of them ....i've created several coasters for testing....after converting them with it, i use the nero to burn to vcd, and im using STI digital media for my GE player, and they work after ejecting and stuff a few times......

my problem is im getting alot of errors and freezes when they do play .... on the vcd they have all that blockiness stuff and jitters and freezes, and i dont know why? ive read the how to manuals and stuff, but maybe i need to adjust tmpg? can some on explain to me in a very dumbed down manner what to do with tmpg and with nero, and how to get the greyed out buttons to work?

To get normal nero enter in your serial code again.
As for tmpgenc, you say some of the buttons are greyed out. have you tried unlocking the settings? select "load", go to the template folder and open "unlock" as for your vcd's not working.. how fast are you burning your vcd's?
Don't go above 4x as some players have problems playing discs burnt at high speeds.

  3. i have the normal nero.... aslo i burn at 4x so i guess i can try a slower burn rate

also with tmpg, i did go to that unlock file and i clicked on it and it just said this file already exists....and the buttons are still greyed out and i cant use many of them...
also would using the batch encode make a diff with all this? also what about the multiplexing thing under the file tab? and the aspect ratios, is it best to just leave them the way they come out when i try to encode a file? or is it better to mess with them and put something else? also i put it in high quality when i encode the files....and also what about the VBR, i cant even use that since all the buttons are greyed out! ive read all the how to's and im still kinda lost trying to use tmpg..

From the sound of it i think you would be better off using one of the vcd templates rather than fiddling about with the settings.there would also be less chance of the vcd stuttering if you use the vcd compliant templates
