  1. Hi! I´m new to ripping, so here´s what I´m asking for...I guess I made a mistake with ripping a 90min movie with DVDx . "Volume don´t exceed" in output settings was set to "74 min VCD", but somehow DVDx made two 729Mb and one 73Mb .mpg -files. Video bit rate was set to 1980 and audio bit rate was set to 224, but somehow filesizes got too big and I was unable to burn 2 cd´s. With TMPGEnc I was able to merge those files back together and I made one 1,50Gb file.

Question is: How can I split the file in 2 pieces and then burn it to two 650Mb CDr´s? Do I have to lower the bitrate for audio & video to make the filesize smaller, or is it even possible to shrink the filesize anymore without loosing audio/video quality?

Hopefully I didn´t ask too stupid questions

please wait at least some DAYS before "bumping" your msg.

split the mpg in two and burn on two 80 min cds. you can fit near 800 mb on one 80 min cd if you burn in vcd or svcd mode.

TPMG will split into what ever ya want...Just goto mpeg tools...last tab is cut and join...
BUT...I have been burning 95 minute movies (VCDnonstandard) onto single 700mb CDR's for a while now..You would have to re-encode for that..quality is not DVD... But nothing but DVD is DVD
