SONY S725D, PLEASE HELP COS IM CONFUSED :-?

I have read all the compatability posts for this dvd so ordered some paradox silver/blue (apparently uk version of princo) cdrs. After gettin all excited cos i thought i might finally be able to play some vcds and audios, i ran 2 my comp and copied some audio using nero5.5 on my teac (using 4x). put it in my dvd and....nothing, got a no disk error . I also have not been able to play cd-rws on my dvd but people say that all cd-rws work fine. Am i doing some thing wrong or is there a setting i can make on the dvd to make them play.
I found that vivastar works in my friends sony 535 dvd, and they sound like they are nearly gonna play on mine but dont, i am really gutted!!!
If anyone could please help me i would be very grateful.

p.s. im using a techtronics mod in my dvd, not the D.I.Y one.

Hi,

Just try the Platinium DC-RW. These worked fine on my player. But don´t asked me where you can get them. I always buy them in a supermarket in Austria.

The Sony machines can be a real pain with media. My machine will always play CD-RW (any brand) and will occasionally play a Vivastar CD-R if I reload it a couple of times.

Give a high quality CD-RW a try (Ricoh are good).
