    Morpheus,

    lets see...

    * open tmpg
    * now, load your video or AVI file (first) then,
    * click on the LOAD button and find the template you want to try
    out. click open, and you're in business. (ie, *.mcf)

    the above should always be performed in that order.

  4. save the preceding text in notepad with an .mcf extension & copy to tmpgenc template folder. enclose filename in quotes to prevent notepad from appending .txt extension

    You have to create the template. In Windows, go to START---PROGRAMS---ACCESSORIES---NOTEPAD. This is the simplest way, but you could use any word processor that can save a document as text only. Type in the following line:
    object TMPEGConfigFile

    Then from this thread, copy the lines relative to the template and paste them below the "object" line you just typed.

    Save the notepad document with whatever name you want using the save as command.

    Finally change the file extension to .mcf

    This should work, the only difference I see, but I don't think it should be a problem is that in all the templates I have seen and/or written, there is always 2 blank spaces before each line in the .mcf file except for the first "object" line. If it is the case that these are needed, open the document in notepad and edit in 2 spaces for each line then save.

  6. If you go back to the KVCD site and RIGHT CLICK save as it will save in the proper format for you (KVCD.MCF).
