  1. Hi folks,
maybe I'm being a bit stupid here, but should it just be possible to transcode each of the original .vobs of a DVD-9 (dual layer!) and then use the original menus and stuff? If not, why not? Surely, with a little tweaking of the IFO the same chapter points would work etc. So, if this is true, should it be possible to automate this process? Well, for movies with minimal/no extras. Any thoughts? Please let me know what you all think...

  3. Cool! What did you use to transcode the .vobs though? ReMpeg2 seems to crap out for me after it does the first file! Also, what program do you use to author the DVDs? SpuceUp, DVDit! or another? Do tell!

well I must admit a dvd-dvdr version of dvd-svcd would be pretty cool. A progie where you put in you dvd film and out it pops oin on another dvd with all original menus and stuff.

This will probably come out when more people have dvd writers.
