I am somewhat of a newbie to this...so I figured this would be the section to ask. I have a pioneer dv-444. I am trying to play a movie that I burnt. It's obviously in pal format because it's off-centered and black and white. NTSC movies play fine, but none of the Pal movies i have tried work. I saw under the dvd players section taht the pioneer dv-444 plays Pal and NTSC. Could someone inform me of a way that I can get pal movies to play ? Thanks;

Maybe your player can handle PAL perfectly, but can your TV handle a PAL signal. At a guess I would say not, in which case you either convert the video to NSTC (not simple but can be done, look in the guides for info) or buy a PAL to NTSC converter to fit between your DVD player and TV set.
