couple of tv out questions

right here we go ,,,
I wanted to watch vdd's divx etc on my tv instead of my moniter . I went to my local computer shop and he sold me a videologic dvd player mpeg card or something it has to run in conjunction with my ati rage graphics card anyhow .

PROBLEM 1 when i play some vcd's it frezes for a split second every minute or so , might not seem alot but its rather annoying , i'm wondering if my proccessor cannot handle the speed 600 mghz pentium 3 or if i need a better graphics card ???

PROBLEM 2 i can only get tv out using the dvd player software they have provided which isnt the best and IT WONT PLAY DIVX ,,, is there any better software out there that willl play my files and suports vga mode and tv mode ???

mate i use zoom player to watch divx with my matrox tv out card, there are quite a lot of options with the new version, plays nicely too.
