Ripped and burned a DVD+RW following VDC Help's How To's by using, Smart Ripper, IfoEdit & Nero 5.5.7.2. My Burner is a HP100i and the DVD+RW is HP as well.
Plays great on most PC's but doesn't work on the 10+ stand alone players that I've tried.
Should I try authoring it first on DVDit and then burn with Nero?
HELP!!!!

dvdit might help but i've heard of compatibility problems with dvd+rw
unfortunatly they seem not to play on alot of stand alone players... you might want to check the dvd compatibility list...

I bought a Diawoo which was supposed to play the DVD-RW, but it brings up root directories and will only play back the mpg2 file and not the menus, etc. I got my Sampo to play them, but I had to swap the DVD drive for a computer Toshiba DVD drive to make it work. I make DVD's and want to preview them on my TV first before burning a DVD-R, so that was important to me to have DVD-RW playback.
