  1. Hi,

I want to convert a Youtube video https://youtu.be/4Y2giuRPCuc to the downloadable mp4 format with https://y2down.cc/devW/ but this web converter doesn’t support videos longer than two hours. Could you recommend a web service that can handle this?

  2. First you need yt-dlp on your OS.
    https://www.videohelp.com/software/yt-dlp
I prefer using command line but there are GUI's fpr yt-dlp.
I have not used any so I do not have a recommendation for one.

Then give this a try. It should be the best video yt-dlp can download from this Youtube URL.
    (As a .mp4)

    yt-dlp -f 136+140 https://youtu.be/4Y2giuRPCuc

    - yt-dlp will by default download 136+251 here, it considers webm format as superior to the m4a format (which it probably is, but YMMV).
    - to be clear (if it isn't anyway): for ErrorFlynn/ytdlp-interface you'll also need a yt-dlp "installation": the yt-dlp.exe file from @cholla's link. And: you should keep that version up-to-date for YT downloads.

I agree opus is a better audio format.
It is not as compatible with all devices though.
Which is why I chose .m4a.

I do not understand what you are asking for.
There is no directly "downloadable link".
You have to use a downloader like yt-dlp.
    yt-dlp worked fine for this.

I did not try the y2down.cc online converter but I believe it did not work for you.
Did you try yt-dlp or the yt-dlp GUI ?

4K downloader + was also able to download this video.
The official 4k downloader + website only has 64-bit.

  8. @ Goku73,
The download from the link has a virus detected by Avast: Wln32:MalwareX-gen MlSC
Is this a false positive ?
Also is this program for 64-bit only ?

    run this in cmd prompt:
    Code:
    winget install yt-dlp.yt-dlp
, it will also add it as system variable + in system path

    Thanks slayer36.
    I already have yt-dlp as a portable.
It works well for me using command .
The only problems I've had is with DRM or other protections on a video.
    Password protected for example.
I was just going to test the GUI.
To see how easy it is to use for the OP.
For myself I prefer using command.

    From this page? https://github.com/ErrorFlynn/ytdlp-interface

There are two links on this page for 64 and 32 bits, and I haven't seen anyone complaining about any viruses.

    The link https://github.com/ErrorFlynn/ytdlp-interface is OK.
Then I select "latest" under "Releases".
    It goes to version v2.14.1.
    I select this link: https://github.com/ErrorFlynn/ytdlp-interface/releases/download/v2.14.1/ytdlp-interface_x86.7z
    I have 32-bit Windows 7.
I save the download to my Downoads folder.
    This is what Avast detects:

Signing in does not allow yt-dlp to download this video.
I also tried the --cookies-from-browser or --cookies for the authentication

    I tried the Widevine suggestion.
It did not work for me.
I admit I need to study Widevine but I have not yet.

Neither of these videos are important to me.
I was using them to learn how to download videos that have these messages.
I'm sure this will eventually happen to a video I do want.

  16. @ slayer36,
No I do not want this video.
I got it from this topic:
    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/418412-Help-with-Geoblocked-Free-Youtube-Video
The OP wanted it. I tested it & got the DRM warning.
Another forum member cedric8528 was able to download it somehow & uploaded it for the OP.

I just posted it as an example since you asked.
