  1. Ok, I tried endlessly with Adaptec and gave up. Now I have Nero. All I want to do is copy a VCD. But when I go to the video cd function from there I have absolutely no clue what I am doing. What do I have to do? I am very new to this. Like I said not rocket science here. All I want to do is copy it that is it.

just a thought if you are copying a vcd to make another vcd, just use the copy cd function. or make an image and then burn the image.

  3. As with the last reply if you are just copying 2 VCD's then YES just do a copy cd, make a image, also CLONECD will make a copy from CD to CD no problem (if your burner supports it ) but if you are trying to make a VCD from a AVI or MPEG, Nero would be the easiest way to do it.
When you open up your request for Video Cd, you should have 2 halfs on your screen, the RIGHT side is where your hard drive stuff is, just find the MPEG you want to make into a VCD and drag it to the LEFT side, then click WRITE CD.
If it is in AVI format, you are better off switching it over to MPEG format before trying to burn it, Nero can encode a AVI for you, but it is time consuming.
